Impact Assessment Internship

 

The intern will be primarily responsible for designing a survey and collecting the initial data set for the purposes of assessing impact of the community wet mill. They may also be involved in day-to-day program management and execution with the broader Raw Material team in Calarcá, time and interest permitting.

  • Design surveys to identify baseline information and progress in key areas (e.g income, education, health).
  • Ensure applicability of survey results to international development organisation funding requirements.
  • Identify target households and sample for initial survey.
  • Conduct baseline surveys with households (in Spanish).
  • Present survey designs & results to RM management.
  • Design handover plans for future surveys.
  • Provide general support as needed for the community wet mill project.
     

The work of the intern will support Raw Material’s program accountability and provide a foundation for evidence-based decision making, knowledge growth, and future funding.

  • Strong research and analysis skills.

  • Intermediate – Fluent Spanish (written and spoken).

  • Able to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Interested in impact assessment and/or small scale agricultural development.

  • Proficient in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including experience in survey design and methods of impact evaluation.
