We don’t just search for the best coffees

Most producers around the world earn low, volatile prices for their coffee.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the chain, it is the greatest time to be involved in the coffee business. This paradox represents a huge opportunity to change the world.

This is one of the few crises in the world where the solution can be direct and self-sustained.

With the right investments and effort, the demand for high-quality coffee can be supplied by those who will benefit most; in the long term.

60% of coffee grows on 12.5 million smallholdings around the world

44% of people growing coffee live in impoverised conditions

22% of them live in extreme poverty

Where and how we work is guided by where we can have the most impact.

This is both directly through the work we do and through partnerships.
In order to be most effective, we have three main considerations when choosing where & what we do.

The choices of the specialty coffee industry can positively influence the realities of both producers and the wider environment. This is true whilst its market value continues to accelerate.

In 2018, the total market value was an estimated $35 billion USD, and grew to over $90 billion USD in 2025.
